Covenant Care and Counseling Ministry (CCCM)
Covenant takes seriously God’s desire to come alongside one another in order to bear one another’s burdens in love (Ephesians 4:1-2 and Galatians 6:2). One way to do that is through our lay counseling ministry (trained non-licensed counselor) that provides help for those going through challenging circumstances of all kinds – transitions, losses, relational difficulties and so forth. We offer the support of trained counselors who will walk alongside you and support you in emotional, spiritual and practical ways. We will also provide outside resources if needed. Our understanding is that the Holy Spirit is ultimately the One who comforts, guides, supports and teaches us, but that He often uses people (albeit imperfect) to convey His grace and truth to one another.
If you are interested in a confidential, no-fee appointment at the church office, or to arrange a telephone conversation, email laycounseling@covenantchicago.org and we will respond quickly. Your inquiry is confidential.

Reading Suggestions:
The following is a suggested topical reading list. We're providing it as a resource for those who may be interested in exploring a particular issue in depth. These are all books that someone on the Care and Counseling team has read, and where we were able we have provided notes about the suggestions.
As with any almost any list of books by different authors on disparate subjects, we'd like to provide this one with a caveat. While we hope that these books are helpful, it's important to see them as starting points rather than the final word on any of these subjects. We don't agree with or endorse everything in every one of these books; indeed, some of these books disagree with each other! So, please read them with discernment and care as well as anticipation for the benefit they will bring.
